Savory Gouda & Soujouk Egg Tarts: A Perfect Bite of Indulgence

My egg tarts with Gouda cheese and soujouk have a rich, savory flavor, with the creamy cheese perfectly balancing the spiced taste of the soujouk. The flaky, buttery crust adds the perfect crunch, making each bite irresistible.


Prep time: 5 minutes

Cook time: 30 minutes

Ingredients:

  • 1/2 onion diced

  • 2 eggs

  • 1 tbsp diced Soujouk

  • 2 tbsp diced smoked gouda cheese

  • pinch of Italian herbs and spices

  • pinch of salt

  • pinch of black pepper

  • 5 puff pastry shells


Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit

  2. Mix the eggs, onions, soujouk and gouda cheese all together.

  3. Place the puff pastry shells on a baking sheet and equally pour the egg mixture into each one.

  4. Put it into the oven for 30 minutes.

  5. After the egg is fully cooked along with the puff pastry shells, take it out of the oven.

  6. On the top of the tarts, sprinkle the salt, pepper, Italian herbs and spices.

  7. Enjoy!
