Cheese, Crust, and Magic: Pinar’s Irresistible Pizza

Savor the irresistible combination of a crispy crust, rich tomato sauce, and melted cheese, topped with your favorite ingredients!

Ingredients:

Pizza dough

  • 2 cups of flour

  • 2 & 1/4 tsp of dry active yeast

  • 1/4 tsp salt

  • 1 tsp sugar

  • 1 & 1/2 cup warm water (to activate the yeast)

  • 1 tbsp olive oil


Special sauce

  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise

  • 1/4 cup ketchup

  • 1/4 diced onion

  • 1/2 tsp white vinegar

  • 1 tsp Italian herbs

  • 1/2 tsp mustard

  • 1 tbsp hot sauce


Pizza Toppings

  • 1lb lean ground beef

  • a pinch of Italian seasoning

  • a pinch of garlic powder

  • a pinch of paprika

  • 1 tsp olive oil

  • a pinch of salt

  • 1/2 green pepper

  • 3/4 onion sliced

  • 1 package of shredded cheese (320g)


Instructions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.

  2. Start by preparing the dough. Mix the warm water with the sugar, salt and gently add the yeast. Cover and wait for 5 minutes until it has puffed up.

  3. Add 1 cup of flour and mix. If the dough is still sticky, continue added flour 3 tbsp at a time- until the mixture is barely sticky but still stretchy. Once the mixture has come together, transfer it to an oiled bowl and cover for one hour.

  4. In a pan warm up olive oil on medium heat, and add the lean ground beef. Mix it with a spatula and add the spices with salt before it is finished completely cooking. Make sure that the beef fully cooks before you move onto the next step.

  5. In a separate smaller bowl, mix the mayonnaise, ketchup, diced onions, white vinegar, Italian herbs, mustard and hot sauce together.

  6. Get a chopping board and slice the green pepper and onions into 1/2cm width pieces.

  7. The dough should rise after one hour. Ensure that a rolling pin and surface of the area is floured so that the dough will not stick. Take the dough out of the bowl when its ready and roll it with a rolling pin.

  8. Once the dough is flattened, put the special sauce mixture in the middle and spread around. Fold the outer part of the dough inwards so that it will become a crust.

  9. Put the peppers, onions, beef on top of the pizza.

  10. Lastly, sprinkle generous amounts of the shredded cheese on top of the pizza.

  11. Put the pizza in the oven for 30 minutes. If it is still not finished cooked after this time, put it for extra 10 minutes. And continue until the crust becomes a golden crispy brown.
